Chapter 2 - Projects with Layers - Basics & Fun

***Be sure to read the Hot Tips, Bewares, and Don't Forgets!

  1. When you are working on the Liberty puzzle, leave the bottom left piece where it is and build around that.
  2. HINT:  You can right click on each piece to see what layer it is and select that layer.

  3. Page 25:  You don't have to create a new folder; just save the file.  You can save as either .JPG or .TIF (the instructions say .TIF)
  4. How can you compress the layers into just one?

Lesson 5 - Layer Basics

***Be sure you get VERY comfortable using Layers.  They will be critical in most of your upcoming projects.

  1. Page 140 - Hmmm.... Where is the Gradient tool?
  2. Page 145 - Adobe Garamond is not on our computers.  Use whatever font you wish.
  3. Skip Page 155 - the spell checker doesn't work.  Just be sure to spell everything correctly :)
