Taking a Screen Shot

You will often need to turn in a screen shot of your base images that you are using for various projects.

To take the screen shot, do the following steps:

 

  1. Open the files that you need the screen shot of. 
  2. I don't need to see the entire picture. It is best if you hide the toolbox and palettes. 
  3. Press Alt+PrtScn (the Alt key and the PrtScn key).  This takes a copy of your screen.
  4. Open Microsoft Word.
  5. Paste (Edit>Paste, right-click>Paste, or Ctrl+V) your screenshot into the Word document.
  6. You will save this document and print it out on the HP LaserJet (black and white).
